Flood clean-up kits available
Clean-up kits for those whose homes were affected by recent flooding can be obtained at the Carey Fire Department at 127 E. North Street. The Wyandot District of the American Red Cross have have kits available from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2 and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 3.
In addition to providing clean-up kits, Wyandot District Director Jennifer Garza says the Red Cross will soon be assessing the need for financial assistance for those affected by the flood. "Once we finish our preliminary disaster assessment of the area, our caseworkers can begin meeting with residents and working with them to offer some financial relief for their losses," she said.
All Red Cross disaster relief is provided free of charge. Anyone who would like to make a donation to support the Red Cross should visit wyandotredcross.org online or call 419-294-1935.
