ADVERTISING RATES
All rates listed here are non-commissionable. Minimum ad charge: $12. All rates listed are non-commissionable. Rates may be changed on 30 days notice.

GROUP COMBINATION RATES
The Mohawk Leader is a sister publication to The Progressor-Times. Both are newspapers with second class mailing privileges. The two papers share approximately half their pages.

Customers receive the following combination rates for advertising in both newspapers.

FRONT PAGE ADVERTISING
A limited amount of front page advertising is available. A 13-week contract costs $75 per week. Ad size is 2-column by 4 inches.

COLOR RATES
$75 per color. Minimum ad size for color is one-quarter page in both papers. 4-color: $175.

OHIO SCAN
The Progressor-Times and The Mohawk Leader are members of Ohio's statewide classified network called Ohio Scan. For $295 we can place your ad (25 words or less) in Ohio daily and weekly newspapers with a combination of over one million readers.

SPECIAL SERVICES
a. Tearsheets (three or less) will be provided, upon request, at no charge, provided the ad is at least 20 column inches. There is a $2 postage and handling charge for advertising under 20 inches.

b. Design for published advertisements is provided to all customers at no charge.

c. Clip art service includes contemporary art and illustrations at no charge to our customers.

d. Our news and advertising departments have been named the best in Ohio at the Ohio Newspaper Association awards show.

CONTRACT AND COPY REGULATIONS
a. We reserve the right to insert the word "advertise- ment" in all ads.

b. Liability for errors in advertisements shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied by the error. We will provide a correction letter, upon request.

c. All advertising accepted is subject to the approval of the publisher, who has the right to revise or reject all or any part of an advertisement.

d. Any ad cancelled after one-half or more has been produced will be charged production costs.

e. Reasonable position request will be met if possi-ble but cannot be guaranteed.

f. We reserve the right to revise rates on 30 days written notice to the advertiser.

CLOSING TIMES (DEADLINES)
Closing time for display ads is 5 p.m. Friday before publication. For color ads or ads with difficult composition, the deadline is Thursday. Dates subject to change during holidays.

MECHANICAL MEASUREMENTS
a. Printing method: Offset

b. Standard ROP sizes: 6-column measurements. Size of printed area: 11.2 inches wide and 21.5 inches deep. Minimum display ad size is 1-column by 3 inches. Ads over 19 inches will be billed as full column height.

FREE SERVICES
a. Notices of meetings of non-profit groups in our circulation area will be placed in the calendar listing free of charge.

b. There is no charge for the "found" classification in the Town Crier section.

SPECIAL CLASSIFICATIONS
a. Political rate: Card rate as earned. Ads must be paid for in advance and must conform to all state and federal requirements, including disclaimer statements.

b. Business card ad, $12, first week of month, minimum 12 months; Bridal directory, $10, third week of month, minimum four insertions. Weekly professional and business directory ads available at $6 and $11 spots, 13-week minimum insertion.

HISTORY
The Carey Times was established in May 1873. The Carey Progressor was first published on July 10, 1968. The two papers became one in 1971. The Mohawk Leader was first published as the Sycamore Leader in 1894. Both publications are paid circulation newspapers with second class mailing permits.

CIRCULATION
Total circulation is 3,700. Circulation area includes Carey, Wyandot County, and a radius of approximately 10 miles from Carey, including Upper Sandusky, Alvada, New Riegel, Vanlue, Mount Blanchard, Wharton, Sycamore, and McCutchenville. The majority of the Mohawk Leader circulation area includes the Mohawk School district.

Published each Wednesday. On the newsstand each Tuesday.

Cost: 75¢ single copy. $30 per year subscription in Ohio. $40 per year out of Ohio.

ONLINE EDITION RATES:
• Banner ads (across the top of a page): $75 per month on the front page; $50 per month on an inside page.
• Button ads (down the side of a page): $50 per month on the front page; $25 per month on an inside page.
• Page one and inside page combination rates are available.
• All banner and button advertising is for a 12-month commitment.
• Classified advertising is available online for as low as $12 for a two-week period. Your advertising will also appear in the regular editions of The Progressor-Times and The Mohawk Leader newspapers.

"Town Crier" is the special classified section that appears in both The Progressor-Times and The Mohawk Leader. This section has an eight-column format.

c. Regular classified ad rates are as follows: $12 for 20 words or less, paid in advance. Each ad is run two weeks, including theprogressortimes.com. All words over 20 are billed at 60¢ per word. $12 minimum charge.

d. Dated classified ads are charged as follows: Ads such as announcements, cards of thanks, rummage sales and notices, which are dated and to be run only one week, are billed at 50¢ per word, with a minimum charge of $12, paid in advance.

e. Special rates and charges:
• Any ad which includes a drawer number reply, bold type, or capitalized words will receive an extra charge of $2 per week.
• All ads in the "found" section are free.
• Pictures taken for use in any ad will be charged at $10 per picture.
• Furnished photos used in advertising will be charged at $5 each.
• Birthday greetings or personal ads with picture have a minimum size of 1x3 and a minimum charge of $15.

f. Town Crier display advertising and regular word classified deadline is Friday before publication at 5 p.m.
