Carl H. Musgrave, 81, Findlay, passed away at 1:38 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017.
Carl was born on Aug. 7, 1936, to the late Carl A. and Grace (Keckler) Musgrave. He married Betty Mullins and they divorced. Carl and Betty had three children, John (Kelly) Musgrave, Jane A. and Russell R. Musgrave (deceased) and three grandchildren.
In 1969, he married Peggy Anne Schoonover Brown, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2010. Carl is also survived by his step daughter, Debra (John Edward) Sterling of Findlay, and great-grand dogs, Ellie and Maggie; a step-son, Michael R. (Deanna) Brown; three step-grandchildren, Hannah, Madison and Trever Brown; four brothers, Clyde Allen Musgrave, Carey; George Edward (Rosa) Musgrave, Baytown, Texas; Ronald Joseph (Judy) Musgrave of Fallston, Md.; James Ray (Jan) Musgrave, Carey; a half-brother, Paul Alen (Joyce) Musgrave, Forest; and a half-sister, Carla Stevens.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Julie Brown.
He served his country in the U.S. Army for three years. Carl worked for National Lime & Stone in Carey for 24 years. He then worked for C&S Radiator service in Findlay where he retired. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion.
Carl was an active bowler and served as the Men’s USBC manager, on the Findlay Bowling Council and on the Findlay Youth Board. He was the Ohio State, USBC board member as zone 1 director and numerous committees. Carl bowled in three area leagues and bowled in numerous national tournaments. He was the past vice president of the Ohio USBC, BA. Mr. Musgrave was a former member of St. Andrew’s UMC.
Visitation was held Sept. 6 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay.
A funeral service was held Sept. 7 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
