Edna Giles
Edna Mae Giles, 76, Upper Sandusky, died at Fairhaven Health Care Community on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at 3:30 a.m.
On Oct. 31, 1940, she was born in Morehead, Ky., to the late William and Eva (Workman) Jennings. She married James R. Giles on June 19, 1970, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2014.
Mrs. Giles is survived by a daughter, DoRae (Matt) Malone, Upper Sandusky; sons, Mike Giles, McComb; Terry (Elaine) Giles, Findlay; Braughn (Kristen) Giles, Vanlue; grandchildren, Andrew Giles, Levi Malone, Adrian Malone, Synthia Giles, Violette Giles, Morgan Giles and Silas Giles; great-grandchild, Maedelyn Giles; sisters, Faye Double, Toledo; Anna Casto, Nevada; Mary Danals, Upper Sandusky; and Carol Pennington, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by three brothers.
Mrs. Giles is a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church, Findlay. She had been a youth group leader and volunteered in nursery ministries.
Her hobbies were sewing, canning and cooking. Mrs. Giles was always willing to lend a helping hand and give of herself. She was a hard worker, fun-loving, patient and was devoted to raising her children and going to her grandchildren’s events.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 23, in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Walt Sheppard and the Rev. Matt Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery, Nevada. Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home.
