Patricia Jo Mowery, 75, Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Carey, died at 7:57 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at her son’s home in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Born June 6, 1942, in Staffordsville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late David B. and Ival M. (Hackworth) Ealey. She married Earl N. Sayre and they divorced. She later married Charles Mowery and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Cameron (Darla) Sayre of Findlay, Zachary (Robert) Sayre-Wilson of Scottsdale, Ariz., and DeWayne (Angel) Sayre of Carey; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Georgia (Tom) Gottfried, Sue Ealey and Roy Ealey; a brother in-law, David Pierce; six step-children and 20 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her son and daughter in-law, Scott and Shelly Sayre; an infant son, Matthew; and a sister, Judy Pierce.
A homemaker, Patricia enjoyed all arts and crafts, reading and American-Indian history. First and foremost was her family. She loved spending time and creating memories with all of them.
Friends will be received from 1-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
Her funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Mahan officiating.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Dunkirk Cemetery in Dunkirk.
