Sylvia Conner

    Sylvia A. Conner, 79, Sycamore, died at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1938, in Rushsylvania  to Howard and Rowena (Brown) Musgrave. She married Herchel Conner on Aug. 1, 1956, and he survives.

Surviving are the following children, Shawn (Barb) Conner, rural Sycamore; Colleen Conner, Tiffin; and Kathy (Chip) Miller, rural Sycamore. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Musgrave, rural New Riegel and Norman “Bud” (Denise) Musgrave, Forest; three sisters, Doris (Paul) Riedel Allen, Sycamore; Darlene (Steve) Collins, Mt. Blanchard; and Linda (Larry) Migrant, Sycamore. She was preceded in death by three sons, Herchel Jr., Terry L. and Mark E. Conner.

Sylvia was a former employee of Toledo Mold and Die in Sycamore and also had worked at the former Zelkovia Inn in Tiffin. She was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church, was a former den mother and Girl Scout leader. She loved to can and bake, winning numerous ribbons over the years at the Wyandot County Fair. She loved her sports, especially Mohawk athletics, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and the Denver Broncos.

     Funeral services for Sylvia were held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Sycamore United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Dawson officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation was held on Nov. 17 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.
