David Arnold

David A. Arnold, 89, Tiffin, died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
David was born April 29, 1928, in Wyandot County to Vincent and Constance (Orians) Arnold. He married the love of his life, Dorothy L. Schwartzmiller Sept. 6, 1952, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include three sons, Kenneth (Janet) Arnold, John Arnold, and Philip Arnold, all of Tiffin; three daughters, Ann (Michael) Moody, Dorothy E. (Richard) LaFontaine and  Julie (Kevin) Russell, all of Findlay; 13 grandchildren, Michelle Hocevar, Kelly Widman, Samuel Arnold, Phylisa Arnold, Nick Moody, Tommy Moody, Matthew LaFontaine, Ethan LaFontaine, Jessica LaFontaine, Isaac LaFontaine, Brandon Russell, Logan Russell, Aiden Russell; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Hocevar, Lucas Widman, Emily Widman; two brothers, Paul (Annette) Arnold, Carey, Carl (Theresa) Arnold, Tiffin; a sister, Ruth Frisch, Tiffin; and a brother-in-law, Charles Doran, Carey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jean Doran and brothers-in-law, Robert Frisch, Bill Lucius and Charles Finsel.
David graduated from Carey High School, was a retired dairy farmer on a fifth generation recognized  Century Farm. David admired and respected his father-in-law Fred Schwartzmiller. They worked side-by-side for 25 years. He was a member of All Saints Parish of New Riegel, the Farm Bureau, and charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 10749, New Riegel.  David enjoyed polka dancing, playing cards and his time in Florida at their winter home in Lehigh Acres from 1996 to 2007.  He instilled a strong faith in his children and family.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-6 p.m. with the rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec.10,  at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. Visitation will also be 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11,  at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, followed by  funeral services at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel.
