Larry Dible

Larry Eugene (Agitator) Dible, 78, Carey, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at 4:55 a.m. in the same home he was born.
Born in Carey, Ohio on Sept. 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Arlette (Kromer) Dible.
On Aug. 16, 1959 in Bethlehem EUB Church, Findlay, he married Rosalyn Kistler, she survives in Carey.
Also surviving are their five children, Brad (Denise Zaner) Dible, Colonial Beach, VA; Lisa (Rocky) Row, Carey; Rhonda (Jim) Brezina, Sycamore; Julie (Ken) Nye, Carey; and Andrea (Jason) Gallagher, Findlay; 15 grandchildren: Brandon, Chase, Josh and Daniel Dible; Tarren, Codey, Colton and Logan Row; Jackie and Jocelyn Brezina; Talen, Emma and Brady Nye; Carter and Cole Gallagher; 10 great-grandchildren, six siblings, Dennis (Gil) Dible, Carey; Joanne (Harold) Traxler, Galion; Jim (Jaci) Dible, Brooksville, Fla.; Rick (Cheryl) Dible, McKinney, Texas; Raymond (Lynn) Dible, Carey; and Laurie (Kevin) Turner, Casa Grande, Ariz.
Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, Dick, Tom and Ronnie Dible, a sister-in-law, Linda Dible, step-father, Hager Bowling, mother and father-in-law, Carl and Leola Kistler and a brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel and Beverly Shane.
A 1957 graduate of Carey High School, he began his career in plumbing working for his uncle at J.F. Dible Plumbing. A job he held for the next 35 years. In 1986, he opened Dible Plumbing in Carey and retired in 2005. He and his wife also owned the former Coach Lantern Lanes and Rustic Inn both in Carey.
Larry loved Carey, as was seen throughout his life. He was a member of the former Jaycee’s, served on the Village Council for several years, and was a member of the Carey Fire Department for 25 years. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and VFW 3759 Auxiliary both of Carey and BPOE 83 in Upper Sandusky.
He kept himself busy in retirement. He enjoyed golfing, camping at Lake Erie, restoring old cars, traveling to all 49 drivable states, cruising in his Corvette and spending time with his beloved family.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 29, at Stombaugh-Batton funeral home, Carey.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carey, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
