William Wright

William “Bill” Edward Wright, 67, Swamp Branch, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Highland Regional Medical Center.
William was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Jefferson County, Ky., son of the late Clarence Richard and Jewel Sparks Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Ray Wright and two sisters, Clara Mae and Mary Alice.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Bakies Wright, Swamp Branch, Ky.; one son, Willie (Lisa) Wright, Sadieville, Ky.; one daughter, Kelli (Shaun) Salyers, Paintsville, Ky.; one brother, Richard (Betty) Wright, Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Juanita (Steve) Renfro, Cadiz, Ky.; and five grandchildren, LeShay, Laken, Domanick, Sebastian and Emalee.
Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, Ky. A funeral mass was held Saturday, Feb. 3 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Paintsville, Ky. with the Rev. Hoppenjans officiating.  Burial followed at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Ky.
