Gregory Higgins

Gregory Alan Higgins, 56, Tiffin, and formerly of Carey, died unexpectedly at 10:14 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital in Tiffin.
Born Aug. 6, 1961, in Findlay, he was the son of Robert W. Higgins Sr. and Constance (Wilcox) Romick. His mother survives in Tiffin.
Surviving are his six children, Joshua Higgins, Seth Higgins, Bethany R. Higgins, Chelsea T. Higgins, Della R. Higgins and Shelby L. Higgins; four siblings, Gary (Richelle) Higgins, Bryan (Meiko) Higgins, Patricia Higgins and Robert Higgins Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father; a brother, Terry Higgins; a nephew, Aaron “Masato” Higgins; and step-father, Richard Romick.
Greg was a 1979 graduate of Vanlue High School and attended diesel mechanic school at Lima Tech. He was currently employed at Tiffin Metal.
He was an avid fan of the O.S.U. Buckeyes and Steelers. He enjoyed fishing and being a handy man for family and friends. He could fix anything. He loved arrowhead hunting and collecting Native American artifacts.
Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. A private graveside service with the Rev. Tom Kagy officiating will be held at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey, .
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
