Zachery Brodman

Zachery Logan Brodman, 21, of Carey, died at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Seneca County on Feb. 21, 2018.
Born Aug. 23, 1996, in Tiffin, he was the son of Patrick L. and Tina M. (Theis) Brodman. They survive in Carey.
He is also survived by a brother, Tyler (fiance, Kelsey Wright) Brodman of Carey; paternal grandmother, Erma M. Brodman of Carey; maternal grandparents, Ralph “Puff” and Barbara Theis of New Riegel; his girlfriend, Tori Kirian; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leo H. “Bud” Brodman and step-grandmother, Anna L. Brodman.
Zach graduated from Carey High School in 2015. He played football, wrestled, was a member of the Carey FFA and Carey Boys 4-H Club. He was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Zach was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, especially Musky in Canada, hunting, trapping, snowboarding, boating, camping and hanging out with his friends at the river. He worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for the past 1 1/2 years and enjoyed assisting his dad and brother on the family farm. He always had a smile and lived life to the fullest. He will be missed.

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, with the Rev. J.R. Hadnagy, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carey Athletic Boosters or O.L.C. School gym floor fund and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH. 43316.
