Kenneth Kessler

Kenneth “Killer” J. Kessler, 68, of Carey, died at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Birchaven Village in Findlay.
Born Feb. 14, 1950, in Tiffin, OH, he was the son of  the late Bernard H.and Betty (Frisch) Kessler. He married Constance M. Brooks and they were divorced.
Surviving are three children, Nick Kessler of Alvada; Andy (Kari) Kessler of Carey; and Angie (Clayton) Hoepf of Findlay; a step-daughter, Brandi (James) Desgranges of Mt. Blanchard; six grandchildren, Hayden, Raigan, Chase, McKinnley, Hudson and Hayes; three step-grandchildren, Logan, Austin and Brandon; a brother, Daniel L. (Donna) Kessler; and a sister, Barbara A. (James) Clark of Mt. Blanchard.
A 1968 graduate of Carey High School, he was a front end loader operator at National Lime and Stone Company in Carey, where he was employed for the past 50 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. He was a member of the K of C #1925 in Carey.
Kenny enjoyed being outdoors cutting firewood with his buddies, taking rides on his scooter around town, driving to Amish country and watching his grandchildren in their various sporting events. He would have done anything for his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, from 2-8 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 2, at 11 a.m., at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey,  with the Rev. Ray Mallett, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice or Our Lady of Consolation Church and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
