Daniel Newell

Daniel Ray Newell, of Carey, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, at 45 years of age.
Daniel was born on April 1, 1972, to Paul Joe and Paula (Smith) Newell of Findlay. Daniel married Lisa (Nowicki) Newell on May 22, 1993, in Findlay.      Daniel was a 1990 graduate of Liberty Benton High School and earned a degree in industrial electronics from Owens Community College and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Carey. He worked as an electrical engineer for Advanced Drainage Systems.
He is survived by his wife, his parents and brother, Kevin (Crystal)
Newell of Findlay.
Also surviving are his children, Steven Andrus, Rachel Newell, Dana Newell and Megan Newell, all of Findlay; grandchildren, Luke and Hope Newell; maternal grandparents, John and Pauline Smith of Findlay; father and mother-in-law, George and Linda Digby of Findlay; nieces, Autumn, Sarah, Brittney, Briley, Brooklyn, Elizabeth, Olivia and Lillian; and nephews, Austin, Justin and Christian.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the funeral service. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Ernsberger officiating. Interment will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
