Charlene Troiano

Charlene A. Troiano, 83, of Carey, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at 3:40 a.m. at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Aug. 9, 1934, in Seneca County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Attlen) Phillips.
On June 21, 1952, she married James C. Troiano at the church rectory in Carey. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2005.
She is survived by six children, Gloria (Paul) Kessler, Carey; Denis (Betty) Troiano, Carey; David (Krissy) Troiano, Jupiter, Fla.; Gaynell Troiano, Carey; Dario (Nosha) Troiano, Carey; and Steve (Kelly) Troiano, Findlay; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Marcela Westfall, Findlay; Richard (Deanna) Phillips, Carey; Jane (Grover) Stoll, Carey; and Stanley (Shirley) Phillips, Findlay.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Troiano, and a granddaughter, Clara Grace Troiano.
A homemaker, Charlene was a 1952 graduate of Carey High School.
Family was everything to Charlene. She cherished family gatherings and any time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed doing puzzles and taking her children’s money playing Friday night poker. She loved decorating for all the holidays and different seasons. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas with her husband.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 16, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carey, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316-1169.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Charlene was always so happy and whenever she would see me she would always give me a hug, her smile and laugh will something I will never forget. Cherish the memories and keep her close to your heart, as I know you will.
