Cris Johnson
Cris R Johnson, 51, of Carey, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 5:50 p.m. at Wyandot Memorial Hospital Emergency Room in Upper Sandusky.
He was born in Upper Sandusky on Aug. 4, 1966. He was the son of Donald W. and Emma Jeanette (Myers) Johnson. His father preceded him in death and his mother resides in Carey.
He married Mitzi Rock and they divorced.
Surviving are his fiancé, Alissa Mewhorter, Carey; two children, Tyler Johnson and Haley Johnson both of Findlay; four grandchildren, Lilyonna, Jaden, Veda and Bodhi; two sisters, Julie Mullholand, Carey; Jodie Magnusson, Carey; two brothers, Chad Johnson, Carey; and Curt Johnson, Port Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Cris was a 1985 Carey High School graduate. He was a member of the Marion Local Labor Union and was a foreman for Kokosing Construction for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, canning, collecting Indian artifacts and loved being outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
The funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
