Gary Overbee

Gary Scott Overbee, 54, of Upper Sandusky, died at 7:29 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
Born Oct. 2, 1963, in Findlay, he was the son of Isaac and Betty Sue (Combs) Overbee Jr. His mother survives in Carey. His father preceded him in death.
He is survived by seven siblings, Sandra K. (Keith Styer) Overbee of Carey, Jimmy R. (Valerie) Overbee of Mt. Blanchard, Melvin E. (Jodi) Overbee of Columbus, Sharon A. (Douglas) Maltsbarger of Upper Sandusky, Ronald W. Overbee of Findlay, Josephine “Jody” (Jesse) Etter of Reynoldsburg, and Kenneth W. (Robin) Overbee of Carey; and many nieces and nephews.
A 1983 graduate of Findlay High School, Scott worked at Continental Structural Plastics in Carey for 25 years.
Scott enjoyed trapshooting, winning several awards over the years, hunting, fishing, four wheeling and playing cards.
He was a member of United Conservation and Outdoor Association (UCOA) in Findlay and Carey Conservation Club in Carey.
At Scott’s request, a graveside service will be held at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey.

     Arrangements were handled by Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot County Council on Aging or Open Door Resource Center and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
