Michael Pirschel

Michael David Pirschel, 77, of Findlay, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green.
He was born on May 11, 1941, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Albert and Jane (Dow) Pirschel. He married Carolyn Sue Harris of Carey on March 23, 1963, and she survives.
Mike is also survived by daughters, Holly Fredericks, Bowling Green; Amy (Mike Schroeder) Sidner, Hillard; Heather (Matthew) Maglicic, Columbus; grandchildren, Danielle (Paul Bechtel) Fredericks, Cincinnati; Sam, Annie, Henry and Gus Maglicic, Columbus; Madison Bell and Oscar Sidner, Hilliard; great-grandchildren, Robert Leatherman Jr. and twins; Hunter and Bridgar Brodbeck, Findlay; sister, Patricia (Ned) Seppi, Findlay; half brother, Charles (Jan), Sun City, Calif.; and half sister, Barbara Sue (Ed) DeBoer, Palm Springs, Ark.
Mike was a member of the Findlay High School class of 1959 and a regular attendee of the Thursday prayer meeting at The Fern. He retired from Kohl’s Distribution Center, Findlay, and was formerly employed by The Courier, The Review Times and TV-47. Mike was a sports fan of the Cleveland Indians and the University of Notre Dame teams. He was a long time participant in fantasy baseball and a former coach for Young Miss Softball in Findlay.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, where visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. The Rev. Cynthia Morrison will be officiating and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Salem Township, 14687 CH 4, Carey.
