Adam Roszman

Adam E. Roszman, 92, of Upper Sandusky, died at 6:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.
Born March 5, 1926, in Carey, he was the son of the late Albert and Blanche (Walter) Roszman. He married Marylin E. Sworden on June 1, 1949, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2018.
He is survived by six children, Chuck (Kathy Farrell) Roszman of Bucyrus, Bob (Carol) Roszman of Findlay, Bill (Vickie) Roszman of Kenton, Tom Roszman of Galion, Judy (Steve) Grigsby of Frankfort, and Dave Roszman of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; three step-great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Clara (Robert) Nachbar of Upper Sandusky; and a sister-in-law, Leona Roszman of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Smith) Roszman; and six siblings, Don Roszman, Ruth Fox, Walter Roszman, Howard Roszman, Roy Roszman and an infant brother, Charles Roszman.
Adam was a lifelong Wyandot County farmer. He was also a courier for the Daily Chief-Union paper in his later years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippines and Japan during the occupation. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.
Adam was a kind, compassionate man. He loved spending time and sharing stories with his family.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with his son, Bill, officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery near Vanlue, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Carey Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
