Andrew Kutz

Andrew R. “Andy” Kutz, age 81, formerly of rural Findlay, died at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Sunrise Senior Living in Findlay. He was born on Sept. 5, 1937, in Findlay, to the late Roy and Ana (Rose) Kutz. He married Dorothy L. “Dottie” Kutz and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Laura (Grant) Freeman of Mt. Blanchard; step-son, Jamie (Patricia) Prince of Findlay; step-daughter, Jeanie Nickoly of Toledo; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phil Kutz.
Andy was a lifetime member of the Mt. Blanchard Gun Club and the Hancock County Conservation Club. He was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed hunting, fishing, weaving, canning and butchering. One of his greatest joys was teaching his grandchildren. Andy was retired as a linesman for the Ohio Bell Phone Company and was a proud union member and a union steward.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, from 4-6 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home with Andy’s grandson Joshua Prince officiating. Interment will be private.
