Harold “Eddie” Gossman, 69, of Carey, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at 9:44 p.m. at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
Born on May 23, 1950, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruby (Perkins) Gossman.
He married Donna K. May and they divorced.
Eddie is survived by three children, Chad E. Gossman, Christi R. (Jamie) Hickle and Brad A. Gossman, all of Carey; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Jayden, Caleb, Chloe and Raven; one great-granddaughter; Paaige; five siblings, Steve (Pam) Gossman, Carey; Mike (Martha) Gossman, Upper Sandusky; Rick (Susie) Gossman, Alvada; Mark (Karen Secord) Gossman, Carey; and Jodi Gossman Taylor, Carey.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry “Taz” Gossman.
He worked at Budd Company in Carey for 35 years.
He was a Nascar, Dallas Cowboys and O.S.U. Buckeyes fan. He loved traveling, camping and trips to Kentucky. He cherished the time he had with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 6-9 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sid Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
