Bernard Boes

Bernard Clarence Boes of Kirby, died peacefully at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky, on Jan. 24, 2020.
After a lifetime of perseverance in his faith and being husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he went to his eternal reward. Bernard’s deep devotion to the Blessed Mother was noted in his faithfulness to praying the rosary. As a lifelong agricultural and dairy farmer, he experienced deeply the dependence upon God for favorable environment for a productive harvest. Sunday afternoons after resting and before afternoon chores he would on many occasions walk the fields, noting their progress and asking God for blessings for the harvest. He also used his giftedness to renovate the interior of the home where he raised his family and make numerous repairs around the farm and on his farming equipment. His appreciation of nature and environment led to care of and respect for creation.
Dad loved to see the great-grandchildren play and interact with those who came to the weekly Wednesday night rosary.
