Joseph Dibling
Joseph Leon Dibling, 73, passed away on May 16, 2020, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
Joe was born on Aug. 22, 1946, in Toledo to Anthony (Tony) and Emma Dibling. He graduated from Carey High School in 1965. Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968, including service in Vietnam. Following his military service, Joe was employed at Porcelain Products in Carey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dolores (James) Holdgreve. Surviving are his sisters, Madonna Dibling, Columbus, and Mary (Jan) Hill, Hillsdale, Mich., and a brother, Anthony (Tony) Dibling, Batavia, Ill. His survivors include his brother-in-law James Holdgreve and his many nieces and nephews.
Joe enjoyed reading, watching old movies and listening to music from the ’50s and ’60s. He enjoyed the many activities offered by the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, where he attended weekly mass.
Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, is handling arrangements for cremation and interment. A memorial mass and interment at St. Mary’s cemetery, Carey, will take place at a later date.
