Emma Johnson

Emma Jeanette Johnson, 81, of rural Upper Sandusky, died at 7:48 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room in Upper Sandusky.
Born April 27, 1939 in Findlay, she was the daughter of Forest J. and Percis E. (Pierce) Myers. She married Donald W. Johnson on Feb. 14, 1958, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carey. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2000.
Jeanette is survived by four children: Julie Mullholand, Chad Johnson, Jodie Magnusson, all of Carey, and Curt Johnson of Port Clinton; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Cris Johnson; and a sister, Joyce Orians.
Jeanette graduated from Carey High School in 1957 and was proud of her years as a majorette. She was a waitress at Ike’s in Carey and Finger’s Corner in Nevada. She later retired from Bridgestone in Upper Sandusky. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star, both in Carey.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating.
