Anna Yost
Anna Marie Yost, 94, formerly of Carey, passed away peacefully at 10:28 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.
Born Feb. 28, 1926, in Fostoria, she was the daughter of Emil and Elnora (Goshe) Bodart. She married Harold E. Yost on April 19, 1947, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Harold preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2014.
Anna is survived by five children, Edward J. (Nancy) Yost of Carey, Judy A. (Gerald) Collet of Carey, Janice M. (Robert) Fox of New Riegel, Donald M. Yost of Carey, and Joseph (Andrea) Yost of Carey; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Ruth Ester Yost; and four brothers, Raymond, James, Carl and Fr. Bill Bodart.
A 1944 graduate of St. Wendelin Catholic High School, she was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. Anna had a great wit about her and could make you smile, even when you didn’t think you could. She loved her home, but not as much as she loved being with her family. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and sewing.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, with the Rev. Tom Merrill, OFM Conv., officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Consolation School and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.

To your entire family,
I want you to know I have Ann in my prayers today. She is the last of a beautiful, loving family of Bodart’s. I truly believe that Ann, my Dad, and the entire family are in a far better place now. I’m glad I got to see her during a visit she made with Jan to Good Shepherd. Prayers for all of you today.
Debbie
