Robert Stover Jr.
Robert “Bob” Stover Jr., 73, of Sycamore, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
Bob was born on Nov. 11, 1946, in Bucyrus, to Robert and Louise (Batiste) Stover Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Mohawk High School and attended Hanover College in Indiana, where he played football and also attended The University of Findlay.
Bob was passionate about baseball as evidenced by his coaching high school baseball at Mohawk in the early ’90s and umpiring in the Southern League of minor league baseball.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include a sister, Julie (Steve) Lauer; nephews, Jason and Jeremy (Dawn); great-nephews, Hunter and Xander; and special friends Randy, Cindy, Austin and Aubrie Harper.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Friday, July 17, from 4-7 p.m. at the Sycamore community shelter house.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Mohawk High School athletics, Sycamore community baseball fields or Sycamore Community Library.
American Cremation Events assisted the family with arrangements.
