Delbert Walton
Delbert E. Walton, 77, of Wharton, died on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at Sunrise Nursing Home, Findlay.
He was born on March 14, 1943 in Wharton, to Daniel and Agnes Mae (Everhart) Walton. He married Karen Yates and they later divorced. He then married Sandra Chadwick and she preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Daniel (Carolyn) Walton of Carey, David Walton of Wharton, and Dallas Walton (Jamie Scheckelhoff) of Carey; four grandchildren, Lang Walton, Savannah Walton, Christine Walton and Scarlett Walton; brother, Philip (Michele) Walton of Upper Sandusky; sister-in-law, Carol Walton of Carey; many nieces and nephews; four step-grandchildren, Nicole Phillips, Brandon DeGroot, Cassandra (Michael) Egan and Katelyn Caine.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Lambert and Lois McCracken; brother, Lewis Walton; and a brother who died in infancy, Joe Walton.
Delbert graduated from Wharton High School, Class of 1962. He was an Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Mr. Walton was a life time farmer and worked at AO Smith/Westinghouse for 40 plus years as a quality inspector. For hobbies he enjoyed tinkering, recycling parts and vegetable and flower gardening.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Denny Livingston officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery with full military rites being conducted by Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
