Dennis Dible

Dennis D. Dible, 79, of Carey, passed away at 11:51 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 at the emergency room at Fostoria Community Hospital, Fostoria.
Denny was born in Carey on Jan. 13, 1941, to the late Harry J. and Arlette (Kromer) Dible.
He is survived by eight children, Kim (Jeff) Frisch of Marysville, Danita Higgins of Alvada, Denny (Mary) Dible Jr. of Findlay, Michael (Ally) Druckemiller of Carey, Peggy (Cory) Brodman of Carey, Tim Quail of Findlay, Heath (Ericka) Quail of Upper Sandusky and Denise (Brian) Tumey of Carey; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Joanne (Harold) Traxler of Galion, Jim (Jaci) Dible of Brooksville, Fla., Rick (Cheryl) Dible of McKinney, Texas, Raymond (Lynn) Dible of Carey and Laurie (Kevin) Turner of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and a sister-in-law, Rosie Dible, Carey; and many nieces and nephews. Denny and his companion, Gil Clouse, have enjoyed the last 21 years together in Carey and wintering in Casa Grande, Ariz., for many years.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Dennis Dible; four brothers, Dick, Tom, Ronnie and Larry Dible; a sister-in-law, Linda Dible; and step-father, Hager Bowling.
Denny graduated from Carey High School in 1958. He learned the plumbing trade at J.F. Dible and Sons Plumbing before moving on to the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Local 42 in Norwalk. He retired in 2006 from Dible Plumbing in Carey. He then became a golfing machine. He didn’t miss many days on the course, playing at Bob’s Country Side in Carey during the summer and Tierra Grande Golf Club in Casa Grande, Ariz., during the winter. He passed away doing what he enjoyed most: golfing with some of his buddies. He was a practical joker and loved telling jokes, no matter how corny. He played the guitar and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music for relaxation. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns, which wasn’t so relaxing.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2-6 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with grandson, the Rev. Jason Frisch, officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

    Hey Denny, hold off for awhile making that tee time for us. Have to work on my game a little bit more. About that birdie putt…it’s a gimme. Go ahead and pick it up! We’re going to miss you buddy! Love you!

    Was going thru the Carey Times on line and learned of Dennie’s death. I first met Dennie in the mid 1950’s and consider him a life long friend. Keep on pickin that Martin buddy. My deepest sympathy to all.
