Richard Hayman
Richard C. Hayman, 95, of Tiffin, died at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at home.
He was born on July 4, 1925, in Findlay, to Hugh E. and Vivian (Twining) Hayman. He married Frances (Peirce) Hayman on June 7, 1947, and she died May 6, 2011.
Surviving are the following children, Hugh R. (JoAnn) Hayman, Georgia; Mark W. (Kathy) Hayman, rural Tiffin; and Greg L. (Terry) Hayman, Henderson, Nev. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jeff (MacKenzie) Hayman, rural Tiffin; and Carrie (Frank) Isabelle, Dublin; plus five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler and Kahne Hayman, and Brenden and Lani Beals; and also three step-great-grandchildren, Frank, Vincent and Nick Isabelle.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hayman, besides his wife and parents.
Richard was a retired farmer, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, McCutchenville, and a 1943 graduate of Carey High School. He was a member of Enterprise Lodge #579 F&AM, Sycamore, and Warpole Lodge #366 OES Upper Sandusky. He was a former 4-H advisor for the McCutchenville Wide Awake 4-H club and a former member of the Stockbuster 2 Investment Club. He also was an honorary chapter farmer of the Mohawk FFA chapter. He also served his country in the Navy from 1943-1946.
For hobbies Dick loved to go to his cabin at McGregor Bay, Canada, in the summer and do a lot of fishing. He also loved to attend all the sporting events of his great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held with burial to take place at Bethel Cemetery, Seneca County. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mohawk Athletic Department in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, OH 44882.
