David Fruth

David R. Fruth was born Jan. 17, 1944, to Alvin R. and Mary (Beck) Fruth and departed this life on Dec. 4, 2020, at 7:19 a.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, due to complications of COVID.
He graduated from Vanlue High School with the class of 1962. On March 20, 1966, he was united in marriage to Ilene Ewing and they celebrated 54 years together. To this union were born five children: Jeanine (Steve) Reichley, Rawson; Ronald Fruth, Vanlue; Tom Fruth, Findlay; Karen (Scott Heitmeyer) Lehman, Carey; and Kathy Joan, Upper Sandusky. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Rachael (Sean) Dundar, Christopher Reichley, Brock Fruth, Nicholas Fruth, Savannah Norway, McKalyn Lehman, Kira Lehman, Haley (Jon) Ward, Nexus (Tim) Cooper and Jonathan Klingler; four great-grandchildren: Aiyana Shoemaker, Alesana Ward, Amity David Ward and Gideon Cooper; three sisters, Donna Lee, Martha Butler and Eileen Tuttle.
A brother, Robert Fruth; a sister, Esther Fruth; and an infant brother preceded him in death.
David was a retired farmer, maple syrup producer and Ridge Township trustee. In his younger days he loved to fox and deer hunt with the Vanlue fox hunters. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family. He was a member of Findlay First Church of the Nazarene.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue, with the Rev. Mike McClurg officiating.
