Shirley Holman

Shirley A. Holman, 83, formerly of Carey, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky.     She was born on April 27, 1937, in Carey, to Jacob and Ruth (Mundy) Vaughn. She married Gerald Holman on March 16, 1956, and he died in September 2000.                    Surviving are the following children, Gerald Gene Jr. Holman, Bucyrus; Michael Eugene Holman, Florida; and Joyce Faye Lauffer, Bucyrus. Also surviving are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also has three sisters surviving, Margaret (James) Jackson, Carey; Gloria Flugga, Findlay; and Elizabeth (Ray) Moyers, Carey.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers besides her husband and parents.
Shirley was retired from working in the housecleaning department at the former Wyandot Manor, Upper Sandusky, and the Holiday Inn in Bucyrus. For hobbies her and her husband loved to travel around the country.
A graveside service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at Benton Cemetery, Crawford County, with the Rev. Ray Moyers officiating.
