Leo Kitzler

Leo H. “Junior” Kitzler, 74, of Carey, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at 10:27 a.m. in Carey as he was being prepared to be placed on Life Flight.
Born in Carey on Oct. 13, 1946, he was the son of the late Harold Leo and Ruth Mae (Fox) Kitzler. He married Karen (Yates) Walton on Sept. 22, 2001. She survives in Carey.
He is also survived by two children, Aaron Kitzler, Louisiana, and Michelle Kitzler, Tennessee; three step-sons, Daniel (Carolyn) Walton, Carey; David Walton, Wharton; and Dallas (Jamie) Walton, Carey; four step-grandchildren, Lang, Savannah, Christine and Scarlett; six sisters, Jo Lynn (Jim) Nye, Carey; Cheryl (David) Buchannon, Florida; Jane Boden, Carey; Agnes (Dennis) Pfeifer, Upper Sandusky; Jackie (Todd) Miller, West Salem; Jill Saum, Republic; two brothers, Joseph (Penny) Kitzler, Carey; and John (Denise) Kitzler, Vanlue.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimbo” Kitzler.
Junior worked as a painter for Jerry Thiel Painting in Upper Sandusky, road construction for Yvonne Fox Road Improvements in Carey and Romanko Sales and Service in Sycamore.
He was a Carey High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.
Junior was a member of the VFW #3759, American Legion #344 and the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, all in Carey.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed watching Fox News and discussing politics.
At Junior’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
