Francis Weaver

Francis W. Weaver, 75, formerly of Wharton, died at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, where he resided the past four years.
Born in Tiffin on May 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Wayne L. and Charetta A. (Pahl) Weaver.
Surviving are two sisters, Carolyn (Dennis) Thiel and Mary (Tom) Rettig, both of Upper Sandusky, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Joan McDonnell, Barbara Hendricks and Rose Ann Rowe; and a brother, Edward Weaver.
Francis graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1963. He worked at Landmark, Inc. and retired from U.S. Commission Company, both in Upper Sandusky. He served his country and was a Vietnam Era veteran of the U.S. Army.
He loved being outdoors, whether it was cutting wood, hunting, trapping or mowing. As long as it was outdoors, he was happy.
A private family mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem Township near Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
