Stephen Fletcher
Stephen D. Fletcher, 62, of Carey, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at his residence.
Born on Dec. 22, 1958, in Findlay, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Helen M. (Puckett) Fletcher.
Steve married Leah A. Walter on Oct. 7, 1995. She survives in Carey.
Also surviving are their four children, Aubrie Fletcher, Carey; Jacquelyn (Logan) Sherer, Findlay; Quinn T. Fletcher, Findlay; and Simon Fletcher, Carey; a grandson, Kearwyn Sherer; six siblings, Connie K. Niederkohr, Carey; Gloria J. Luman, Lexington, S.C.; Paul R. (Barb) Fletcher, Carey; Shirley (Ken) Boes, Fostoria; David E. (Maggie) Fletcher, Carey; Teresa M. (Billy) Collins, Rincon, Ga.; a step-sister, Trish Underwood, Carey; and “the adopteds,” Lydia Prindle and Kam Niederkohr.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen A. “Susie” Schneider.
Steve was a journeyman electrician by trade and worked in maintenance for The Andersons Company in Upper Sandusky for many years.
His family was his everything. Steve was a loving husband, incredible dad and grandpa and fun-loving brother. He had a deep love of life and nature. Some of his biggest smiles came when he was fishing, mushroom hunting in Michigan, hunting and shooting all types of guns. He was “Mr. Fix-it” to many in the family.
