Thomas Loose

Thomas G. Loose, 79, of Sycamore, died at 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at home.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1942, in Van Wert, to Donald and Margaret (Coffman) Loose. He married Dola (Hartschuh) Loose on Nov. 13, 1968, and she survives.
Surviving are the following children, Kelly (Rick) Dentinger, rural Bloomville; Brett (Johnica) Loose, rural Nevada; and Kurt Loose, Dublin. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Natalie, Joshua and Justin Dentinger, Andrew, Alec, Alexis, Ryan and Allison Loose, plus one great-grandson, Barrett Loose; and a brother, David (Lesley) Loose, rural Bloomville.
Thomas retired from the former American Standard Plant, Tiffin, as a caster having worked for 40 years.
Thomas was a 1960 graduate of Mohawk High School, was a member of Enterprise Lodge # 579 F&AM, Sycamore, and was a member of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250. He also served six years in the Army Reserve during the Vietnam Era.
For hobbies Thomas use to coach Little League baseball, loved to bowl and at one time did a lot of fishing and trapping. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. the same day at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Matthew Zuehlke officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
