Jeffrey Fox
Jeffrey Fox, 58, of Carey, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born Jan. 26, 1963, in Upper Sandusky, to Peter J. and Geneva M. (Ratliff) Fox. His mother survives in Carey. His father preceded him in death.
Jeff is survived by a daughter, Rebekah (Daniel Williams) Fox-Fabrizio of Madison, Wisc.; five siblings: Deborah (Charles) Courtad of Carey, Jacqueline (James) Anderson of Big Pine Key, Fla., James Peter (Carol) Fox of Tonto Basin, Ariz., Peggy (Kim) Risner of Carey, and Joel (Carol Snyder) Fox of Buckeye Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff graduated from Carey High School in 1981and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Upon returning to the Carey area, he worked at an eyeglass company in Findlay as a lens maker and assisted his brother, Joel, with the construction of his mother’s home in Carey. He enjoyed landscaping, making stained glass products and playing the piano until Parkinson’s Disease took over his body. He was a huge fan of the OSU Buckeyes basketball and football programs. He was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Two words can best describe Jeff: kind soul.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 12, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey with the Rev. Tom Merrill, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial of his ashes will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey.
