Daniel “Dan” Ray Walter, 56, of Carey, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021, surrounded with love by his wife and children at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.

He dabbled with any instrument he could get his hands on and was skilled with music technology. He even created and recorded a family Christmas album with his wife and children.
He was also a handyman and jack of all trades. There were no vehicles or appliances he would not try to fix and he often helped his family and friends with their cars. He completed many home renovation projects over the years. He liked building and flying RC planes. In his younger years, Dan spent many days playing Nintendo with his children and beating all the hard levels. And in recent years, he enjoyed restoring motorcycles and going for rides with his son and friends. He lived for garage sale season and spent a lot of time outdoors and in his garage.
Dan was never quiet about his strong spiritual beliefs and enjoyed discussing and debating with friends and family. He believed in absolute truths and that everything happened for a reason. His family has peace knowing that he made it to Heaven.
