Allan Camper
Allan B. Camper, 71, of Sycamore, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Kobacker House, Columbus.
He was born on Jan. 16, 1950, in Tiffin, to Dean R. and Virginia R. (Smith) Camper.
Survivors include his daughter, Jolene R. Camper of Missouri; son, Dean Allan Richard (Brittany) Camper of Arizona; sister-in-law, Jean Blackburn-Kreisel of Gahanna; nieces, Deb (Bob) Maston of Columbus and Connie (Rick) Riffle of Canton; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dean R. Camper; and half-brother, Carl Blackburn.
Allan graduated in 1968 from Tiffin Columbian High School and from Nashville Auto Diesel College in Tennessee. He spent most of his career as a car hauler, retiring after 40 years.
At a young age Allan was a champion go-cart racer and quickly grew to love motorcycles and continued this passion throughout his life from building bikes, operating his own part shop, to riding fast and furious with his friends.
He was a good father and loved by many. Those that he called friend he treated like family.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Moose Lodge #846, Teamster’s Union and was a founding life-long member of the Seneca County Chapter of the Avengers Motorcycle Club.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
