Rebecca Orians

Rebecca L. “Beck” Orians, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, May 30, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born on July 3, 1954, in Tiffin, to James and Barbara (Bauer) Welly. On Feb. 22, 1974, she married Mark W. Orians.
Survivors include her parents, James and Barbara Welly of Carey; husband, Mark W. Orians of Tiffin; sons, Bruce (Allyson) Orians of Sunbury and Chad (Meghan) Orians of Ballwin, Mo.; brothers, Don (Donna) Welly and Mark (Chris Dula) Welly, both of North Carolina, Neil Welly of Carey and Dave (Barb) Welly of Kansas; sisters, Pam Welly of Tiffin, Marsha (Bob) Fredritz of Carey, Tina (Mark) Calmes of Upper Sandusky and Karen (Dan) Wetzel of Minnesota; and seven grandchildren, Brayden, Cohen, Adalynn, Andrew, Thomas, Henry and Grace.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Welly; and sister, Jean Shiley.
Beck was a 1972 graduate of New Riegel High School and studied accounting at Tiffin University. She was a rural mail carrier in Alvada for 25 years, retiring in 2018, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Republican Central Committee, charter member of the NCOC/North Central Ohio Conservatives and volunteered at the Knights of Columbus. Beck enjoyed singing in the St. Joseph adult choir, funeral choirs, ecumenical choir in Carey and sang in the choir for the Pope in Italy. In her free time, she enjoyed movies, swimming at the YMCA, flower gardening, watching and feeding birds, traveling most of the United States, Canada and many other countries and everyone loved her cream puff cake, lasagna and her orange Jello salad. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Beck was always there for anyone who needed her, lending an ear or a hand if she could.
Her funeral mass will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m.-noon on Monday, June 14, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington Street, Tiffin, OH 44883.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
