Donna Crace

Donna C. Crace, 69, of Findlay and formerly of Carey, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at St. Catherine’s Manor of Findlay following an extended illness.
On Nov. 18, 1951, Donna was born in Upper Sandusky, the second of nine children of the late Dennis and Gertrude (Adams) Crace. She graduated from Vanlue High School in the class of 1970.
Shortly following graduation, on Jan. 29, 1973, Donna started a 40-year career at the Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay. She retired in 2013.
Very faithful, Donna was a lifelong member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God. She also loved music all of her life, enjoying southern gospel, 1950’s music and the Beatles, all of which she would sing along to.
An avid reader, Donna was a “sci-fi nut,” even going to sci-fi conventions with her best friend, Geri. She also had an extensive teddy bear collection.
Most important of all to Donna was her family. Even though she never had children, she saw all of her nieces and nephews as her own. She loved having them over for sleepovers, taking them to the movies, etc. To say she was a proud aunt would be quite the understatement. She will be remembered for her huge and loving heart, who would do anything for anyone.
She will be missed by her seven siblings: Bobby (Linda) Crace of Findlay, Gary (Deb Ward) Crace of Findlay, Deb (Reid) Tong of Tazewell, Tenn., Darlene Crace Laroche of Carey, Dennis “Mark” Crace of Carey, Steve (Teresa) Crace of Findlay, and Denise (Mark MacComber) Crace of Carey; brother-in-law, James Pauley of Dunkirk; numerous dear nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Geri Long of Poway, Calif.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby sister, Lisa Pauley; and a nephew, David Tong.
Her family will greet friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Carey. Services honoring her life will be held there at 1 p.m. the same day with the Rev. Joe Turner and her niece, the Rev. Mandi Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery in Vanlue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, P.O. Box 112, Carey, OH 43316.
Arrangements were handled by Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.StombaughBatton.com.
