Sonisak Souaysanga
Sonisak “Sak” Souaysanga, 39, of Carey, passed away at his residence on Oct. 8, 2021.
Sak was born on July 29, 1982, to Nguen Souaysanga and Kanya Sourintha in Bangkok, Thailand. The family relocated to better their life in the United States in 1987. Sak attended Carey High School and later received his GED. He was employed at Inland Tarp and Liner, LLC in Fostoria.
Sak is a family man who loved being in the moment and making memories with his family and friends. He enjoyed the game of soccer and basketball, was an auto enthusiast and had a love for music. Sak was known to be a foodie at heart, with an exceptional love for spicy food. He was a jokester and a prankster who did just about anything to make people laugh.
Sak tried his best to take steps to change his path, but unfortunately, he made a decision that caused him to lose his life. As heartbreaking as it is writing these words, there is a drug epidemic with an upward trajectory. The epidemic has affected so many lives each day; compassion and understanding must overcome the shame and denial.
Sak is survived by his daughter, Mia Isabella Davis of Findlay; parents, Kanya Saivandee of Carey and Nguen (Hom) Souaysanga of Carey; sister, Khamphin “Kelli” (Kyle) Smith of
McComb; nephews, Cameron and Kellon Smith; brothers, Slater, Dustin and Judson Souaysanga, all of Carey. Other survivors include many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 15, from 1-3 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later time at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey.
Memorials may be given for an educational fund for his daughter, Mia.
