Patricia Vaughn
Patricia Ann “Pat” Vaughn, 87, of New Riegel, passed away at 6.03 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital in Tiffin.
She was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Seneca County, to the late Norbert N. and Matilda (Wonderly) Kinn. She married Richard C. “Dick” Vaughn on April 23, 1955, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2011.
Surviving are four children, Linda (Bob) Baker, Fostoria, Jerry (Carol) Vaughn, Bascom, John Vaughn, Carey, and Diane (Bob) Wank, New Riegel; grandchildren, Tricia (Chris) Basinger, Lisa Baker, Amanda (Jameson) Botimer, Nicholas (Emily) Baker, Julie (Fred) Reinhart, Lindsay (James) Wiedenheft, Kristy (Adam) Kahler, Tasha Vaughn, Kelly Wank, Andrea (Ryan) Elkins, Brittany (Chad) Popenberg and Amy (Brad) Frankart; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Jack and Sam Basinger, Mason and Parker Reinhart, Jayden King, Charlie, Hank and Abbie Botimer, Nixon Baker and Colton Popenberg; siblings, Norbert (Jeannie) Kinn Jr., Alvada, James (Fern) Kinn, Alvada, and Rita (Mike) Hark, Elida.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Vaughn (1985); daughter-in-law, Sonny Vaughn (2020); grandchildren, Danielle Vaughn (2000) and David Vaughn (2016); and two brothers, Herman and Dale Kinn.
Pat was a housewife and worked side by side with her husband Dick on the family farm. She was born and raised on a farm and attended New Riegel Schools. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, and belonged to the New Riegel Young Farm Wives and All Saints Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed J.B. Tours day trips and Cleveland Indians ball games. In her daily life, Pat enjoyed word find puzzles, being outdoors and most importantly spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer presiding. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
