Patricia Perkins

Patricia Allene Perkins, 72, of Powell, passed away peacefully at 4:49 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at her residence.
Born March 29, 1949, in Swamp Branch, Ky., she was the daughter of the late R. Clyde and Dorthea (Caudill) May. She married Jimmie R. Perkins on May 29, 1965, and he survives in Powell. She is also survived by three children, Jimmy (Tamara) Perkins of Durant, Okla.; Anita (Jay) Johnson of Delaware, and Jason (John) Perkins of Napoleon; six grandchildren, Caleb, Cali, Jared, Elizabeth, Hannah and Ian; three great-grandchildren, Madden, Sutton and Tucker; and three sisters, Barbara Harmon of Frozen Branch, Ky.; Linda May of Swamp Brach, Ky.; and Roberta Hackworth of Louisa, Ky.
Pat was a homemaker until her youngest child went to college. She then spent the next 10 years working at Wendy’s in Upper Sandusky and enjoyed every minute of it.
Pat enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking, especially for family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family.
The family will receive family and friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
Pat’s wish was to go back home. Therefore, the family will receive family and friends from noon-2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, at Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, at Preston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Hackworth and the Rev. Joseph Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Staffordsville, Ky.
Memorial contributions may be made to Carey First Freewill Baptist Church and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
