Dorsel Russell

Dorsel Franklin Russell, 92, of Carey, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at Birchaven Nursing Home, Findlay.
He was born May 15, 1929 in Leon, Va.
Surviving are four children, Randy Russell, Kathy McQuire, Marilyn Fetty and David Russell; grandchildren, Tashawa (Tim) Hall, Cody Estep, Kylie Estep, Tabitha (Trae) Cusac, Tiffany Yonts, Steven Jr. (Chelsey) Yonts and Austin Yonts; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kinsley Cecila DeVonne Deutsch.
Dorsel was preceded in death by his parents, Bada (Wagner) Russell and Manuel Russell; wife, Betty Joyce Russell; son, Lonnie Franklin Russell; daughter, Roberta Joyce Yonts; step-son, Tony Hoop; grandsons, Tommy R. Yonts Jr. and James Logan Yonts Sr.; and best friend, Puppy Angelo.
Dorsel retired from the railroad after 35+ years. He loved some good ol’ Mountain Dew. He was truly a ladies man and loved people in general. He was kindhearted and accepted everyone for themselves. Now he is no longer suffering and is with our Lord.
No funeral will be held at this time. A memorial dinner will be held Sunday, March 13, at 4 p.m. at Carey Conservation Club. Donations can be made to Tashawa Hall or mailed to 138 E Brown Avenue, Carey, Ohio 43316.

    Dorsel was a good freind worked with him many a day on the railroad at Carey lots of good times RIP Dorsel
