Robert Jacoby

Robert Joseph Jacoby, 79, of Carey, died Thursday, March 10, at 10:05 p.m. at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1943, in Carey, to the late Edward and Kathryn (Schindler) Jacoby. On Oct. 6, 1962, he was married to Joyce (Ratliff) and she survives.
He is also survived by five children, Jon Jacoby of Carey, Jene Jacoby of Norwalk, Jarrod (Chontay) Jacoby of Carey, Jamey (Jan) Jacoby of Carey and Jacqueline Massengale of Carey; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Joshua, A.J., Abby, Ashton, Hannah and Emily; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Tristan, Cash, Willow, Wrecker, Wilder, Rebel, Ross, Nora, Olly, Elijah, Raiden, Elizabeth, Kinsley and Baby J. (due 7-12-22); step-grandchildren, Kristy, Kathy and Megan; step-great-grandchildren, Clay, Tori and Taylor; brother, Ronnie (Mary Jane) Jacoby of Carey; sisters, Jean Hunter of Mt. Vernon and Joan Montgomery of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by a brother, James Jacoby; sisters, Patricia Jacoby Chandler and Barbara Wenner; and son-in-law, Mark Massengale.        He was a retired carpenter.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey. The Rev. John Bamman will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carey. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral mass at the church.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s or Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church.
