Richard Reinhart

Richard D. Reinhart, 89, of Carey, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 12:45 a.m. at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.
Richard was born on Oct. 5, 1932, in Wyandot County, to Thomas N. And Lucille Margaret (Fox) Reinhart, both of whom are deceased. He married Jean Taylor Turnbell on Nov. 24, 1954, in Columbus, and she survives.
He is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Orians of Mentone, Ind.; two grandchildren, Jason Lynn Ritter of Carey, and Kelly Jo Blair of Warsaw, Ind.; and two great-grandchildren, Grace Ann and Noah Aaron Luce.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Harold Ritter; and a half sister, Deanna Louise, who died in infancy.
Richard was a 1950 graduate of Carey High School and was a member of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
He worked for Swan Rubber in Carey for 19 years, and then Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria for 21 years.
For hobbies, Richard enjoyed playing golf with the senior league in Findlay, traveling to Hawaii with Jean for their 25th wedding anniversary, along with going to Austin, Texas, for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Along with going on trips with Jeannie, he enjoyed working on his yard and home and was an avid reader, thus was a frequent visitor at Dorcas Public Library in Carey.
Funeral services for Richard D. Reinhart will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Cynthia Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, June 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
