Betty was a wonderful homemaker whose house was the gathering place for many family events. She would often stay up all night cooking and baking for holiday dinners, being sure to make each of her children’s favorite desserts. Betty was loved by many and had many lifelong friends who she kept in touch with and said she was always a wonderful listener and always gave the best advice. Betty’s grandkids often had brought their friends around who considered her a surrogate grandma. She always loved hearing about what her grandkids were doing.
Betty will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m.-noon with services following at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. David Odegard officiating. Final resting place will be Zion Bloom Cemetery in Vanlue.
