Millard Hagerman Jr.

Millard R. Hagerman Jr., 80, of Carey, passed away at his daughter’s home in Port Clinton on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022.
Millard was born in Upper Sandusky, on Sept. 10, 1942, to Millard R. and Mary (Puchta) Hagerman Sr. He married Janice S. (Wicker) in Wyandot County in 1969, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2013.
Millard was a security guard for Shaw Environmental of Findlay for over 20 years until his retirement in 2012. He had also worked for Union Carbide in Fostoria for 10 years. Millard was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University Buckeyes fan, trying to never miss a game. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and extended family, woodworking in his garage on many different projects and in his later years he used his expertise in building computers. He was also an avid animal lover.
Millard is survived by his children, Amy Wilcox, Danny Hagerman and Lori (Rob) Barker; grandchildren, Brittany Sloan, Cody Wilcox, Taylor Barker and Sydney Barker; and great-grandson, Nathan LaRoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Janice; daughter, Jessica Mack; and siblings, Donna Sherman, James Hagerman and Raymond Hagerman.
The family will be holding a memorial dinner to celebrate Millard’s life on Friday, Oct. 28, from 5-8 p.m. at VFW Post 3579, Carey. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Port Clinton is assisting the family with arrangements.
