James Hurley
James R. Hurley, 62 of Upper Sandusky, died at 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1960, in San Diego, Calif., to James R. and Blanche (Morter) Hurley. James is deceased and Blanche survives in Tiffin. James married Kimberly (Geary) Hurley on Nov. 8, 1989, and she survives.
Surviving are the following children, Katelyn (Lucas) Richard, Arlington; Isaac J. Hurley, Upper Sandusky; and Victoria E. Hurley, Upper Sandusky; plus four grandchildren, Elijah, Jacob, Evelyn and Ruby Richard. Also surviving are two brothers, Scott (Ruth) Hurley, Tiffin; and David (Nancy) Hurley, rural Tiffin; and one sister, Anita (Kirby) Sniffen, Manassas, Va.
Jim was a safety manager for Hanging U out of Burlington, Wash., for 17 years. He was a 1978 graduate of Mohawk High School, received his bachelor degree from Heidelberg College and a masters degree from Tiffin University. He attended the Sycamore United Methodist Church and was a member of Labor Union Local #574, Upper Sandusky.
For hobbies Jim wrestled in high school and college, loved to restore old cars, collect all kinds of guns, do construction jobs, go sky diving and loved to fly airplanes as he had his pilot license.
At Jim’s request a private funeral service was held.
