Paul Pahl
Paul Wm. “Butch” Pahl, 79, of Carey, passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital under the care of Bridge Hospice.
Paul was born on Aug. 19, 1943, in Carey, to Paul Francis and Elveda Dayo (Helberg) Pahl. He married Marilyn K. Roof on Nov. 7, 1964, and she survives in Carey.
Surviving is a son, Bryan E. (Kees van der Veen) Pahl of Huntsville; daughter, Kimberley R. Pahl of Carey; grandchildren, Alexandra (Cody Bird) Clark, Kassandra (Kieran Robertson) Van Beveren, William (Macey Builta) Van Beveren and Electra Van Beveren; great-grandchildren, Heavyn, Nayeli, Alden and Lyla; brothers, Thomas E. (Sherri) Pahl of Carey and James L. (Martha) Pahl of Bucyrus; sisters, Sue Ann Clark of Upper Sandusky and Margaret A. (Jim) Arend of Carey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher A. Pahl; and brother-in-law, Richard Clark.
Mr. Pahl was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church. He worked for Tecumseh in Marion for over 20 years. He then worked for Worthington Industries for over 24 years. Mr. Pahl also enjoyed working at his son’s grooming salon during his retirement years.
He was a life member of the Black-Lamberjack VFW Post #3759. Mr. Pahl enjoyed his dog Walley and his cat Yama, attending auctions and collecting antiques.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Salem Township.
