Carolyn Lake

Carolyn Elaine (Phillips) Lake, formerly of Carey, passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at her home in Keene, N.H., from a long fight with cancer.
She was born in Findlay, to the late Walter and Anna Belle Phillips on April 4, 1953. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Phillips and sister, Sandy Fields. She attended Carey High School with the Class of 1971. She married Harry Borst and later divorced. She is survived by Gary Lake. They were married in Bradenton, Fla., one of her many places that she loved to visit. She is also survived by siblings, Walter (Rosie) Phillips, Peg Golling, Joyce Baker, Barb (Billy) Smith, John Phillips, Jeanette (Lewis) Troiano; children, Graham and Dusty Borst; step-children, Chris, Shane and Heather Lake; and grandchildren, Haley and Davion Borst, Anthony, Luca, Sirabella and Landon Lake.
She worked for Trice Vending Co., and National Grange Insurance before her retirement. She enjoyed going to the beach, spending time at their campsite in upstate New Hampshire and doing crafts.
At Elaine’s request there will be no service. A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date.
Donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in her name.

    I know that life is beautiful for you now, no more pain or suffering. You will be missed Aunt Elaine. Please tell my mom, I miss her so much. RIP
